I graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler in 1993 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, specializing in science and math. I taught science at Jacksonville Middle School for six years. For five years, I was a stay-at-home mom, enjoying every second possible with my children. For ten years, I taught math and science in fourth through eighth grades at Jacksonville Christian School. I have found my home at Troup Middle School teaching 8th grade science. I am married and have two children. I enjoy reading, shopping, spending time with my family, traveling, and singing and playing the piano.
I believe all children have the ability to learn and everyone learns in different ways. Some learn best by hearing the information, some by seeing, some by doing. By teaching through auditory, visual, and kinesthetic means, all children can learn.
